The best pipe is the stock pipe in stock form. I suspect you are wanting more noise than power/speed (you get power/speed from the motor not a pipe) then get a DG pipe. They are cheap enough. The FMF is a good pipe for a stock machine, but once the motor is modded the FMF is useless. I don't recommend that pipe at all.

We got a DG after LT80 modded ours. The kids like the sound of the pipe, but they love the speed of Jack's mods, LOL.

Oh sorry, Jack is "LT80", he has posted in this thread.

don't do the pipe and ask more speed questions.

I had LT80(jack) do my engine and clutch work......Like so many others I wanted to put an aftermarket pipe on. So I put a DG pipe on for the races last weekend......Now I will take it back off tonight and put the stock pipe back on. I just like the way it ran with the stock pipe.

FMF and DG both make pipes along with a few others. I bought a FMF for about $185. The DG is a little cheaper while the others are a little more. Alot of guys that race run the stock pipe thats been modded. Alot of online places sell both of these pipes, such as rockymountain, dennis kirk, etc...

i've got an lrd on my daughters and it seems to work pretty well, i've also heard the best pipe is the ct.....thats my $$0.07 worth

you should be a little more specific if you wanna know what pipe u want--what year it is, what u got done to it, if you want low end power or torqe. That would be very helpful......

I want to buy my sister a pipe for her lt80. does anyone know where to get one and how much it costs?

Posted by: sandblaster360

actually, looking for speed. do you have any suggestions on cheap mods.

After riding the stock LT80 for three years in the yard I decided to put some upgrades into Andrews atv. I've added the FMF Pipe for about $200 including silencer & a Boyesen dual power reed and a new set of stock rings. I did the test ride and some tuning. Then it was Andrews turn. His eyes opened up like ping pong balls the first time he hit the gas. It was great to see. The pipe makes a difference. A stock pipe does not put out the same torque as the FMF .

What are Jacks Mods?

Thanks. This is day two for me. I've missed all the good stuff. I'll look back and see what I could learn.
