2002 Eton Sierra 90cc -- 3 month old (bought new off dealer lot Dec. 03) The second time out with this qaud was last weekend and it was stalling after about 2 minutes of run time (not including warming up). It starts and idles very nicely, and runs for a few minutes like nothing is wrong. It does not sputter or chug, it just cuts out whether while at idle or full throtle. Then, it won't restart for a about 5 minutes. Then the same thing over again. Oil tank is full, air cleaner fine, etc. This is only the second time out with this qaud (maybe 2.5 hours run time total). The first time out it ran for hours without a hitch. A friend said it may be a bad oil sensor thinking the oil reservior is low and shutting the quad down, then resetting. My local dealer is backlogged for two weeks!
Anyone have this happen to them?

Oldyeller;
It has an "automatic" choke. But it keeps doing the same senario over and over, starts fine, runs a couple minutes, then shuts down and won't restart for about 5 minutes.
I talked to another service dealer on the phone yesturday (who was also backlogged two weeks) and he discovered that I am not using a high enough octane gas (requires 91, I used 87, opps). Do you think it makes that much difference? Is that just for 2 strokes? My Rincon manual says 87 octane is OK for it (which is 4 stroke though). Dealer said that would make it run too hot and might be shutting it down, but after only 2 minutes??? He also recommended that I drain the carb (with drain underneath) then let new gas run through it also for minute to flush anything out that may be plugging it. But something plugging the carb/gas flow would cause a sputtering type of shut down right?
Four4fish; I'm not sure what you mean about tightening the coil wires. Can you shoot me a picture of the proceedure?

Does this model have an electric choke?Maybe its not turning off and the bike is flooding out after it gets hot.After it sits for a while maybe the choke will shut off and away you go.I don't think these mini's have a shutoff for low oil so I don't think thats the problem.
