My daughters did this too. the idle was too high because the valves needed adjusting. Once the valves were adjusted and the idle set everything was great again.

I plan on learning to do this myself but I paid a shop to do it. There are several people on this board who have experience doing it they were the ones who helped me diagnose the problem. I think if you post the question how to adjust the valves on a breeze I think they would give you pretty detailled instructions on how to do it. I will learn in the next month or two as I am planning on rebuilding her motor and putting pipe on it.

might want to post in the yamaha forum too I think that is where I got the help figuring out what my problem was.

were having a hard time shifting between Forward and Reverse without
shutting the engine off shifting to Nutral starting it back up, then shifting
into reverse, and doing the same to get it back into forward.. Any Idea's

Hey DirtVH,
did you do the do the work on your Breeze yourself, or did you
have to take it into the dealer..
I see where the Idle screw on the Carb is located but how do
you adjust the valves and what is the gap on it??
