$600-1000 IMO.
I'd recommend servicing the front/rear clutch's. This and a compression check can verify the need (or not) of up to $500 in parts BR>This will give you a better idea of what it's worth.

I would call 120 pounds comp. reasonable.
Servicing the clutch's wiil cost time and maybe a lil skin off a knuckle. Usually if there is any problem, it's a flat roller or 2. The rollers are the wearing part and no big deal to buy (3$ each).But ocasionally there are other parts worn, you'll find out all that with servicing.
FYI: what I am talking about is taking the clutch cover off and removing the clutch's. Normally a lil grease to the rollers and a light sanding of the rear clutch pads are all that is needed. It's prolly an hour job for the first timer. * AN IMPACT WRENCH WILL BE NEEDED TO REMOVE THE NUTS ON THE CLUTCH'S THO*

tires are $19 each for Cheng shin knobby, through rockymountainatv, 20x7-8. they'll fit fine.
thanks for the clutch info LT80, I think I'll service mine.with an impact gun, do you need to hold rotor on opposite side with special tool? do you replace cover gasket, or re-use ( it seems to be cork type).I'll probably PM you once I get it apart.

My brother has an 87 LT 80 he wants to sell me. I would say its in good condition. the only thing it needs is tires and a new battery. The quad runs perfect. everything is in pretty good condition for being an 87. what are these bike's going for? I want to give him what it's worth. Thanks Jason

Thanks LT 80 I think I will check the clutch and the comp. thats a good Idea. how about a pipe If i can get a pretty good deal on a pipe are they worth putting on? I know I've read some of your posts and you recomend to stick with the stock pipe.
