I bought the 6 paddle gliders for my kids lt80 and man do they work well. I picked up a set of geckos for the 80 and boy were they heavy for such a little tire. We just got back from a ride on Friday and they didn't get stuck once. It climbed all but the biggest and steepest hills. My kids had a blast.

Mine arent bad as long as im goin fast. But at a slow speed they ride rough..

My kid has the Sand Stars as well. Climb great.

But I still HATE paddles. Rough riding suckers anywhere but soft sand. Just the small hard packed area by the truck had her griping.

Wasn't going to say it but since other seem to have the same problems....literally bent my battery mount. Like riding on a square tire. Give me HP and knobbies any day. Will work just as good.

Any paddle tire is better than no paddles at all, hands down, but if you have the ability too, get the SkatTrak Gliders. I have both the Gliders and the Gekos on my kids quads and the Gliders are the superior tire. They are lighter and due to the fact that they are buffed they are more flexible. This allows you to run a little higher pressure and still have a larger conatact patch on the sand. Also the paddle runs almost the entire width of the tire which allows for more traction.

My kids ride an E-Ton Thunder 90 and an LT80. THe LT80 is stock with all of the restrictors removed. The E-Ton is piped and jetted with all of the restrictors removed.

I've looked, but not sure what to get. So why not go to the experts, that's you guys. LOL
What brand, style, and size paddles would you all recommend for the LT80?

Thanks a Bunch.

Well I finally bought the Sand Stars for the LT.
Spent 3 day in Florence, Or.

These did really good for my kids.
They were able to climb some pretty big hills on their stock LT (minus 2 front clutch rollers)

OMG that is funny.

My youngest daughter, 8 years old, looked like she was on one one those Fat losing Machines that shake the crap out of you. While riding at slow speeds on the road to the dunes, that thing was shaking her like you couldn't believe. She was a trooper though cause she was having so much fun, but it was a long ride for her to the play area, but she kept going for 3 days img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> She had to stop about every 100 yards though to rest her hands they were shaking so bad img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>Didn't help they left the tires at 36 psi to seat the bead, adn of course I didn't check it. Did lighten up a little after dropping them to about 2 psi. Once you got up to speed in the soft stuff they worked great.

Sand Stars have 6 paddles, with 6 lil kickers

Paddles are about 7/8" or so, kickers are about 5/8" or so

Part of the reason I think the LT80 shakes so bad is the stock suspension sucks.
I think that is part of it......

We used Sand Sharks on the 250ex and those worked great also.

GOOD LUCK

I'm looking at getting the 6 paddle haulers for my daughter's raptor 80. Just can't standthe pounding you get from the V pattern tires. Can't always ride balls to the walls

I have been looking for some for my e-ton 90 as well. I have decided to go with the Kenda Gecko, it is a lightwieght tire and due to the paddle design should allow for easier turning.

Posted by: mrv64

Sorry forgot to add size. The Gecko would be in a 18x9x8 on aluminum wheels. The only other option would be the Skat-Trak Glider in18x8.5x8. Hope this helps

What quads do your kids have? Do they have any mods? I have a e-ton 90, new top end(stock) k&n filter, 2 1/2" extended swing arm and am looking for a pipe for it at the moment.

I just ran a set of 18x8.5x8 Gliders on a lt80 at Coos Bay in OR the tire did OK but I felt we need more paddle, the Glider paddle is short like 1/2in. The LT has a few mods reeds, jetting,Air box ,air filter, chan & gearing, and clutch work. My Daughter weights in at 50lb and did great on a lot of the dunes, it has the power to spin the tires for 10 feet so I&39;m thinking we need more tire. I&39;ve been looking at the 18x9.5x8 Sand Stares for mini and the 18X9.5X8 6 paddles Haulers. If any one ran this Haulers on a mini please let me know what you think. Can someone with the mini Sand Star measure the paddle height and let me know what is and how many paddles it has.

Thanks
Ron
