Suzuki (and now Kawi) for the 50 and 80, Honda for 90.
Rock solid quads that hold their value and last forever. There are a few others that can be modded better for racing but for overall quality and use these (IMHO) are the benchmarks.
Not that I wouldn't love to see better brakes on all of these, electric start on the Honda and a tad more suspension.

Hey mabell1, have you tried Rydersville in Berkeley Springs for the price of the Pred? I hear that they discount the most in this area. I bought my quad from Winchester Motorsports, because it's closer, 20 minutes, but they don't discount like Ridersville does.

I've seen nothing but great things from the Viper 50 or 90.If you can get it cheaper than some of the others thats a bonus.

Sorry, but the Kawi/Suzuki 50's are the worst, and the most expensive, pull start, no suspension, no power. LT80 is the only 80, Raptor 80 is no good, so not much competition there. Honda 90 is good if you like to watch your little one be frustrated trying to pull it to start it, and shift all the time. There are quads with great braking, electric start, suspension, and plenty of power, you just have to know where to look! I am glad that many did not use these quads as benchmarks for their designs, or we would not have any decent quads for our kids! IMHO (ok not so humble)

Thrasher, check your PM.

The Predator/scrambler 90 is a good quad overall, best stock suspension, but is overpriced, and does not like the water at all. The CVT cover is open, allowing water to enter..... Also they feel a little top heavy. I have seen a stock Scrambler 90 fly over jumps and take a beating, but is always needing some type of adjustment and fixing to get it to run right. People think they are getting a Polaris when in reality it is an Aeon in disguise. There are better quads for less money. But if you want to spend the money and need the name, get the Pred 90, you won't be unhappy.
Eton Viper 90
LRX 90
Kasea 90
You should be able to get these quads for less than $2,000 out the door.

Yamaha Breeze is a 125 automatic.

towtruck, the only places i called about the predator is winchester motosports and twiggs in hagerstown. i will call rydersville. i took my scrambler to winchester motosports to get the topend rebuilt because they quoted me half the price that twiggs did. they told me it would take two weeks because of the holiday...its now going on 5 weeks. every day they say it should be done tomorrow, and they seem to be getting an attitude when i call every day to see when it will be done. i will never do business with them again. thanks again

towtruck, i just called ridersville cycle. they are selling the predator 90 for $2050.00 out the door. i think i will be getting that for my son next week. thanks alot

I looking for a couple now and have to admit, they all are about the same in most respects. Maybe it comes down to brand loyality in the end.

2 Gordons- you don't live that far from me. Where do you buy the other quads that excel in this group?
The local Kasea dealer doesn"t want to sell them anymore and I have a hard time buying something from other than the big four because of service and parts problems.

What are some good choices in the 150-160cc range? You know, something bigger than a 90 but not a 250

Now that it's 2004...Who in your opinion makes the best 50, 80, & 90 Quads?
