make sure you have a decent torque driver spring in the rear clutch.
if you need more power (who doesn't when riding in the sand), I highly recommend WRH Racing's 68cc alum cylinder kit.

I was gonna say might be the tire size....turning too big of ones.

Anyone had any luck running a 50cc in the sand? My son has a Skyhawk 50 with a power up kit. We were running 18" Geckos on the rear, worked well, but fried too many belts. We ride in Glamis, not expecting to go in the big dunes, but at least get up some of the small hills without frying belts. I ordered the 16" Snow Hogs, but was wondering if anyone had luck with something different.
Thanks

I think I figured out why I fried the belts - Installation error. (I tend to learn things the expensive way) Did order the Kevlar belt though. Was thinking about the 68cc kit, but will probably get the 90 next season. I have 2 younger sons that can use the 50. How much more power did you get out of the 68cc kit? Did you get the aluminum?

Thanks

guess I wasn't reading properly - i see it is the alum. Still how much power did you gain?
