the raptor has basically no suspension!! It may not seem important now but it will. My son has a pred 90 and it is a great little machine. There is tons of room for hop ups as he grows and gets better. With the nice suspension it is very forgiving and the ewide rear wheels help in stability.

We have had a scrambler 90 for 2 years and it has been an awesome machine. My kids have probably put 2000 miles on it and it runs and looks like new. Absolutely no problems. Go for the Polaris.

My son has the Raptor 80 (he's 5 and loves it) the raptor starts every time you push the button even in 10 degree weather. top speed is 35mph ,it does have a thottle limiter which can reduce the speed to 5 mph for the beginners.
if you look up (www.raptor80racing.com) you'll see they have a good many upgrades. the raptor is a 4 stroke and i think the pred is a 2 stroke. if you are going for trail use get the rappy, for the track get the pred. the preds suspension is also a bit better

Go with the Predator 90. Look at some other post to what other owners have said about the Raptor. It is basically the badger with big brother Raptor plastics.
We love our Predator.

I may be wrong but I don't think there is a big aftermarket for those (Raptor)either. Check w/WRH racing and Peakpowersports for more info on that.

Search the forums for raptor 80 post. There is are a few responses. Type in Raptor 80 and check kids atv's. might help

The Raptor has a sealed drive shaft. This non-high maintenance shaft is great for mud and sand dune riding. The Pred-90 has lots of suspension movement and many other positives.
If only there was a perfect mini-quad on the market???? Something that's affordable with a sealed rear drive shaft, open disc brakes, foot brake (with handlebar levers), independant rear suspension, factory running lights, etc.
With your future 90 unit, will you be racing it, doing rough trails, only sand dunes or general "around the house" type riding??? The type of riding you plan on doing and the current age / size of its rider will allow you to obtain more focused feedback.
Hope this helps...

Go with the Predator 90. My son has it and its a fast little machine. We haven't even explored without the limiter or jumper. Now for the kicker... My son actually likes the Sportman 90 better, because his dad rides the Kawi Prarie 700...go figure!!!!

Chili, seeing you live in the great state of California, where do you plan on riding? If the Predator 90 is a new 2 stroke, it will be issued a red sticker if you plan on registering it with DMV. This can limit your riding time in some areas during certain times of the year. I know they just posted the limited riding times for red stickers at Pismo. If you buy a used 2 stroke, they are grandfathered in and still receive the green sticker. Just a little more info for you I know this made a difference when I bought my kids a new quad for Christmas.
