Well I blew it! This bike uses so little oil I forgot to check and see if there was any in the resivor. The piston and ring are shot! I have to have the cylinder looked at to see if it can be bored. While I have this thing apart I have stripprd the bike down to the frame for new paint and am working on cleaning up the plastics so it looks like new. Any suggestions on hopping this thing up a bit while I am at it? The boy is only 6 and has no fear so I dont want to go too wild and get him hurt. Lets hear what you guys think. We basically ride dunes only.

My wife wants me to go ahead and put the 110 kit in it or send it to CT racing for mods, anyone do this? What are the reliability issues?
I dont plan on putting the oil injection system back on thats for sure.

The dumb part is my daughters LT80 didnt have the oil injection so I was allready mixing fuel for her bike. I kept telling myself to pull that junk off but was really lazy about it. Well I got ahold of Jack and I am going to have him take care of it. I sandblasted the frame and painted it it looks sweet, now I am cleaning up the plastics........with the exception of a bunch of old dirty and rusted bolts it should look like new when im done.

dont be to hard on yourself about the oil thing, the pump more that likely would have gone out on its on sooner or laterFirst thing do away with oil injection, as far as plastic put stickers on it my boys is so covered in stickers you cant even see the plastic, as far as the frame, before you paint it any were you see paint all ready chipping off i would suggest have those spots welded then paint it. As far as making it go fast motor and clutch mods will do the trick, talk to lt80(jack) for those.

One of the reasons I tossed the oil injection all together and premix my gas. I just knew sooner or later I'd forget about that oil tank... Now if I can keep my gas cans straight I'm home free....

Not only that you have to admit it. It's a little fun once you get past the stupidity part of it. An think of what you and your son will learn from the experience! It was moment like this I remember the most growing up. Rebuilding the small block chevy with family at what 12??? Enjoy it! I just bought my YFZ450. almost had ZERO minutes on it before the engine was scattered across the garage doing cam mods, jetting and such. My 5 year old was amazed as to what actually inside the motor.... Lot's of fun.

That amazes me that the he can make it beet the 110....I just recently took my sons lt80 110 to buttercup in Cal, and he went all the way up comp hill 4 or 5 times...Lt80 is suppose to hook up with me in Feb. If he can make a stock one beet a 110! Just think what he can do with a 110> I am excited to meet him
