Quads will race on Saturdays along with 80 cc and under dirt bikes. Big dirt bikes will race on Sundays. This is a two day event.

They will have Quad PRO
Quad Amature
and Mini Quad.

They plan to run the 50 and 90 mini quads together and they will score them seperat if there is enough of each size.

Please come give us some support and help us get quadracing in LA/MS were it should be. I would love to have more quads than bikes show up for the Saturday races PLEASE>PLEAS>PLEASE JOIN US!!!!

Posted by: mxmike

I think he will have to run with the amatures. I belive there will be a lot of quads in that class. They will end up having to split it up I would think. Its hard to say without knowing how many will show up. Last year at there first race there were over 20 quads there 1st race all in one class. The pros dominated the class the whole series. A few months later the SRMA put on an arena cross series and gave us a pro class with 150% pay back that usually had about 6/7 quads. An amature class which had about 10 to 15 quads and a mini quad class wich usually has 8 to 10 quads in it.I did mention a sport class to them for the 300ex,250ex,blaster and the kaw/suz 250 quads and they said they would have to see what shows up.Last weekend six showed up on 250ex's and blasters at the Hancock,Ms AX and they gave them a class. This was not the same organisation though.

Id say find as many people as you can for that class and bring them to there 1st race. The more people the easyer it will be to convince them to have that class.

Cool I remerber him. My boy was on the blue E-ton 50 in the mini quad class.

Posted by: mxmike

Yes they ran the 50 and 90's together that race. We are going to try and run all the races because its a points championship series.

Posted by: mxmike

Come on out shaunonl1!!!! Bring as many people as you can. I ran the series last year and it was a blast.

Posted by: mxmike

We can probley make it Sunday.

Posted by: mxmike

Let me know. Here is my EMail ----> mikgle33@aol.com

It has been raining all morning here. Our little mini track is flooded. We will be looking for a dry spot to ride tomorow for shure.

Posted by: mxmike

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! Yall going riding today?????????

Posted by: mxmike

Thats cool we will probley head to bayou land mx. Trying to decide now.

Posted by: mxmike

Bayou Land is pretty close to Flying colors. We went yesterday and Mike had a blast. It was a little muddy but is was a sticky muddy not really a wet slopy mud. It was perfect for him to do some mud riding in. The track layout is cool and pretty fast. We are going to bring him back there. He likes it. Maysen was out there to and they road for just about an hour straight every time they went out. I was getting tired just watching them. I would love to have that kind of endurance, lol
They dont race there though,it just a practice track like firetower.

This was a very good testing ground to see if Mikey is ready for the BIG outdoor MX tracks that will be in the series. He did awsome!!!!!! The track had a couple BIG jumps and was full of big ruts and breaking bumps. Very good practiceBR>

What yall doing next weekend? We plan to go somewere!!!

Posted by: mxmike

We talked to Lynn about running an all quad series along with some other track owners . They were all fore it. I kinda left that idea alone for now. This winter series will have alot of quads there for shure. Come out and help us build a 50cc clas for our boys. They got a pro class too. Last year was awsome. We raced the wildwood track last year and its FAST!!!! Very Texas style.

Help us out and tell everybody you know. Lets pack the pits with quads!!!!!!! Lets show them dirtbikers we are taking over the Saturday races.lol

Posted by: mxmike

We can make it. Do they break it up with big bikes and small bikes?

Posted by: mxmike

Bump!

We will be at Fernwood this weekend for the series race.

We are talking to the SRMA now about an all Quad series one race a month. There will be classes for all. More info to come soon!!!!!!

Posted by: shaunonl1

Sounds like fun! I might have to get up in the middle of that! I also have a buddy that rides a quad that would be willing!

Posted by: dodgepower

Hey also mike im building a site right now for the little man will get ya a link after get done messin with it

Posted by: dodgepower

Hey sounds good on the skip thing. Let me know if going next weekend. Little man wont be here but I might bring my monster out there.

Hey mike what mx are you talkin about headin too?

Posted by: dodgepower

Thats cool! Well Austin has to go to his biological fathers in Missouri till the 31st for xmas break. I may take my hog out to that firetower if rangerrick heads out there.

Posted by: dodgepower

Ya know Giles that brings up a point. I dont understand this mentallity of the bikes about hating the quads. Ya know I rode bikes up till got these wheelers and I never had a problem and I dont have a problem against the bikes so what the heck is it. I guess they are just small in size(if ya know what i mean) and are scared of the wheelers cause in case they havent noticed more quads are sold and geuss what factory's are starting to full-ride sponsor atv's and their mighty two strokes.

Posted by: dodgepower

Hey rick i emailed ya for your cell # and didnt get it back.

Posted by: dodgepower

Hey rick sorry for not getting to go yesterday had to go buy momma a new truck. Yall gonna go today? If so let me know cause want to ride bad

Posted by: dodgepower

You name the day this weekend. My little bro is coming into town and bringing his ride. We are probably gonna go out to red creek one day but got others to head out there just let me know when yall might go.

Posted by: dodgepower

Yeah we can make it if you dont mind my little bro coming with me. He is coming down from missouri tomorrow and is bringing his ride down.

Posted by: dodgepower

Hey mike you wanna post about the possiblitity in the ATV Racing section too!

Posted by: GILESRACING

MXMIKE, I SEEN WILDWOOD MX ON THE SCHEDULE. WHEN DID LYNNE DECIDE TO LET QUADS RACE THERE. IVE BEEN TRYING TO GET HIM TO LET ME PRACTICE AT THAT TRACK SINCE HE BUILT IT. IJUST TALKED TO HIM 2 MONTHS AGO . WHAT DID U SAY THAT CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT US QUADS. WE ALL KNOW HE HASNT CHANGED HIS OPINION ABOUT QUADS. IVE SEEN WILDWOOD, IT IS BALLS TO THE WALL FAST.

Posted by: GILESRACING

IF I DONT GO RACE THE ATV OLYMPICS I WILL COME RACE AT WILDWOOD FOR SURE.I WILL BRING MY SON AND HIS 50. DODGEPOWER,I RODE DIRTBIKES WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER AND I DONT UNDERSTAND EITHER WHY THEY DONT LIKE US TO RIDE THE SAME TRACK AS THEM. IF UR GOOD ENOUGH IT DOESNT MATTER IF THERE IS A BERM OR NOT. ANY WAY, ILL BE THERE FOR WILDWOOD. IT WILL BE A GOOD WARMUP FOR TNE NATIONALS IN MARCH.

I am intrested in bringing my 11 year old over to a race or 2, he rides a 300ex, would that put him in the amature class? I am lookin for tracks that will offer kids his age, not on mini's, a class to run in. Which track would be a good one to go to? Thanks

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Sounds good, thanks for the info. My son raced at the arena fri & sat nite, he was the one on the 300 with a black front fender. He still needs experience with racing side by side, also was having a problem with it cutting out on him, but he enjoyed himself. He raced at Rock Hill in Carnes, MS, but he had to run with the open quads, of course he was a bit out classed, but he enjoys it. I just want to find a track or tracks that will run a class for his age. With the good turn out for the class they opened at the arena, hopefully when next season kicks off in Jan, we will have enough kids intrested. Thanks

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Did they run the 50's with the 90's that night?

Which race should I try to get him to, I see you have several listed for Jan. The classes that you listed, are they the same for all the tracks?

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Yeah, he is still learning how to be aggressive on the track, & it didn't help his ride was cutting out on him, but hopefully I have that problem solved. I hope to get over to a couple of the LA races, sounds like a great time. A small group of us are going to the Fire Tower practice track sat. you ought to bring your son out to ride. It is always good to see atv out there, usually there is just a bunch of bikes & a couple quads. We plan on goin around 1, drop me a line if intrested. Later

Posted by: Rangerrick63

I am sorry, I thought you knew of the track. It is in the Kiln, same exit as the arena race, exit 20, go to Edwin Ladner, which is across from the Bell South building. Then go a couple of miles to Firetower rd, you can only turn left. Go 1 mile to Deerwood, take a right, then another 3/4 of a mile. The sign is on the right, it is down low. Follow the dirt road to the gate. It is a member track, usually on the weekends there is someone out there, but the gate may be locked. I am a member, if you want to come out, drop me a line, like I said, we plan on going around 1 on sat. I can meet you there, or email me (palmerx03@aol.com) & I will give you my cel # so you can call when you get there, so I can open the gate. It will cost you $10 (donation, put in the donation box). It is a very well taken care of track, it is as big as Rock Hill, to me it as challangeing as it also. once you & your son ride there I am sure you will want a membership. It is a great deal, you get a key so you can ride anytime you want. How bout that. Let me know, later

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Looks like tomorrow will be a wash, (ha ha), both for the weather coming & I have to work. Project that I am working on suddenly got very very hot, so overtime is now on. We do plan on shifting our ride to sun instead. Same time, around 1, hope you can make it.

Posted by: Rangerrick63

drop me an email, & I will send you my cel #, that way if you come over, you can call when you get here. If the gate is locked, I will need to come open it up for you.

Posted by: Rangerrick63

ok, that sounds good, I will post later today if we are going out there tomorrow.

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Just sent you an email, we will plan for next weekend

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Hey, hope you see this before you try to head out to the track. We are going to skip on todays ride, but we will plan something for next weekend, drop me a line & let me know what your schedule is. Later

Posted by: Rangerrick63

We do plan on going out Sat. It looks like the weather should work out for us. Probably around 1pm, just let me know as we get closer.

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Mike, the winter series you are talkin about, is that the schedule you posted at the beginning of this forum? Or is it a separate race all together? I really want to bring my son over to a good race that he can actually race & be competive. I mean he enjoys just being on the track, but I know he likes to race, he can ride around on the track for free any weekend at the practice track, but he really misses the fender to fender experience that he needs. Hope to see yall out at the track this sat.

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Sorry, my wife might have deleted it, she is bad about it if she doesn't know the address for the sender, or notice the subject line, drop me a line again, I will tell her to delete nothing until I get it. We are planning a ride for Sat. so if you are intrested, just let me know. Later

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Sorry, we can't go today, I have the top end tore off my son's 300. It jumped time, that is what has been wrong with this thing. Don't know how it did it, chain & tensenior seems fine. We do plan on goin next weekend, or maybe even fri. Let me know if you could make it.

Posted by: Rangerrick63

hey dodgepower & mxmike, we are planning to ride at the practice track sat. 12/27 around 1, drop me a line if you can make it. palmerx03@aol.com

Posted by: Rangerrick63

You pretty much just ride when you want, the faster bikes are very considerate especially with the kids. I tell my son to just pull off when one comes around, to let him by. There usually won't be much more than maybe 10 bikes on the track at once, & that is a crowded day. Just let me know. later
