we will be at te jackson AX this weekend. josh will race the pro money class and bubba will race the mini quad class as h is leading the series in points. i can assure you josh is not a 1 track racer. he has raced every track in southern la. and ms and posted wins at all. he is also old enough to run nationals now and will probably be at 4 or 5 jumping in the a class right off. maybe we will see you there.

dodgepower
rock hill runs the second and fourth weekend of each month and ususlly has at least 6 or 7 mini quads. there will be an AX race at hancock county arena on dec. 5th and 6th. with a mini class. first class is FREE so all you have to pay is gate fee. i live in long beach and we have 7 or 8 mini quad racers right here in this area. we try to keep in contact and run the same tracks and weekends so there will be plenty on the gate. mxmike and i will help you al we can. my e-mail is markvette@webtv.net if you need to get in contact with me.

ok the hancock arena is at the delisle exit 20 off i-10. about 6 miles off the interstate. it is a horse arena as are most that the arena cross races are run at. they will build a small track in the horse arena where dirt bikes and quads will race.

the riders dont pay the $ 15 pit pass fee but it cost $ 50 to run the money class and $ 30 to run the amateur class. the hancock AX will only cost $ 15 to run quad money. josh wasnt going to run the jackson ax but decided at the last minute he could use the cash. at hattiesburg last month he pulled the holeshot but got pushed on top a hay bale about a lap into the race. after the hancock ax he wont race for a couple of months, got a lot of much needed maintenance to do on his quad then may put it up for sale to get a new yamaha.

i met you at rock hill that night. i was the one who asked you if your son was running the 300ex in the mini quad class. my youngest was on the green eton in the mini quad class. my oldest ran second that night on his 400ex in the big quad class. we have tried to get a blaster class ging before but could not get enough people interested in it. if enough show up rock hill will run one. hopefully soon we will have an all quad series going here and there will be a class that your son can run.

Giles,What series in Texas do you race in ?? I was woundering because I looked at this years 2 Texas quad series and never saw a giles any were in there points standings. Just wanted to know If we have raced together before of not.

Posted by: mxmike

Thats cool I realy do not remember you. About how long would it take to get from New orleans to oak grove? My boy will be 4 in Dec. and does well on the mini tracks but I been holding him off on the big mx tracks for now till he is stronger. How old is your boy?

No bs I know of at least 13 90cc mini quads that will be at rock hill this weekend most are beginers and a couple are pretty fast. I know of 2 50's for shure and with this being there bigest race of the year I think some more will show. Last time I was there about a month ago my boy and 3 others raced the mini track on 50's. If not he can ride the mini track FREE when they are not racing it. The big quad class is going to be at least 20 or more. They will probley have to split it up.Get there early because the place will be packed.

I tried to look up that swan web site and could not find it. I would like to find out more about it so maybe I can make a few races next season. My son, wife and I will be racing the STQRA series
next season. 3 palms and san jac (sp?)were awsome. I cant wait till I ride some of the other Texas tracks.

Posted by: mxmike

Just a FYI,

This past weekend at Rock Hill in Pervace,Ms There were 18 full size quads,15 90cc mini quads and 5 50cc mini quads. One of the 50's was the 03 TQRA series champ. Thanks to WRH racing for sponsering the mini quad class. He made shure they all got trophys. We had a very good time . I hope some of yall can make it to the next one.

There is going to be a race on November 30th in Larose ,La. at Flying Colors. This is a medium sized track for mini bikes and quads. There are no classes for big bikes or quads. We went last month and there were atleast 10 or so mini quads. Most the mini quads that were at Rock Hill said they will be there.

Need more info just ask,Thanks

Posted by: mxmike

All but one 50 was stock. The girl that won the Texas Championship had suspention and motor upgrades. I don't think she will be at to many local races. I will start posting all the events that we are going to that mini quads will be at.

Posted by: mxmike

Yes they run a 50 class and 90 class.

There are 3 tracks that we have been working with along with some AX races.

One track Flying colors in Larose,LA is a medium sized track that both the 50 and 90's ride on.

Another is Rock Hill in Pervace, Ms It has a BIG track were the 90's race ( 50's can race them to),
and a mini track were the 50's race

The other is The Landing also in Pervace, Ms and its set up the same way as Rock Hill.

The AX races are usuall just one mini class. If enough 50's would show up I think they would split them up. Last one my boy was the only 50 so he ran with the 90's.

We met with a track owner from Petal ,Ms this weekend and told us he would let us race mini quads there also.

I will start posting all events that I am going to attend that I know mini Quads will be at.
Right now the next race will be at Flying Colors on 11/30/03. I will put up more details in another thread by it self.

Posted by: mxmike

Gills bring your boy to Flyingcolors on Nov. 30th he will like that track. My boy loves it.

Mark, We need to talk to Breaux Bridge about running a mini quad class there for the Championship race in December. I can probley pull in a few mini riders from Texas.

Posted by: mx400exgirl

Hey falt there is a couple of tracks that we go to that have mini classes 2 in Ms. and 1 in La. as of right now and almost all the other tracks we go to say if we bring 4 or more mini quad they will make a class for them. The 3 tracks that have mini classes right now are 1. Flyingcolors in Larose La.,2. RockHill in Purvis Ms.,3. The Landing in Lumberton Ms.

RockHill has a big race coming up on the 8th of Nov. next weekend. They will have 2 mini classes a class for the 50cc quads on the mini track and a class for 65 to 90cc on the big track. This is the biggest race of the year lots of bikes quads and mini quads will be there lots of prizes and really big awards for all the riders.

FlyingColors has a race coming up on the 30th of Nov. and they also have 2 class for the mini quads a 50cc and a 51 to 90cc class they have a cool website also it is flyingcolorspark.com
on there it will give you dates and time of riding days and race days.

Oh and Flat give me your email address and I will give you another website that all the riders from La. and Ms. go to and find out whos riding and racing every weekend. I tryed to post it here but it would not let me.
Hope this helps, Jessica

MX400EXGIRL, LIKE U SAID "IF YOU HAVE 4 MINI QUADS THEY WILL MAKE A CLASS."WHO IS GOING TO DRIVE THAT FAR NOT KNOWING IF YOURE CHILD IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO RACEOR NOT . IT SHOULD BE A MINI CLASS AVAILABLE EVEN IF THER IS ONLY 2 MINIS.THAT IS WHAT WILL MAKE PEOPLE DRIVE TO RACE MINI QUADS. I KNOW, I RACE THE NATIONALS.IDONT MIND DRIVING ANYWHERE IF I KNOW THERE IS GOING TO BE A CLASS BEFORE I GET THERE. AS FOR THE TRACKS IN MS,FERNWOOD HAS THE POTIENTAL FOR THE BEST TRACK BUT, THE OWNER IS A A__HOLE. HE CATERS TO DIRTBIKES.ROGERS IF UR LISTENING UR AN A__HOLE.ROCKHILL HAS BY FAR THE BEST DIRT, THEY JUST NEED SOMEONE TO REBUILD THE TRACK THAT KNOWS WHAT THEIR DOING. YES THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE. THAT TRACK NEEDS TO BE LONGER AND WIDER, THEY HAVE THE ROOM TO DO IT. THATS WHY MORE OF US NATIONAL RACERS DONT COME TO ROCKHILL MORE OFTEN. I COME DOWN THERE ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR TO RACE JUST FOR RIDE TIME.

Posted by: GILESRACING

MXMIKE, I WOULD LOVE TO RACE A SERIES IN MS. MY "LOCAL" SERIES I RACE ARE IN TEXAS AND LA. UNTIL THE TRACK OWNERS IN MS BUILD THEIR TRACKS TO BE AS GOOD AS TEXAS AND LA TRACKS, ME AND AFEW OTHER FAST RACERS ARE GOING TO KEEP GOING OUT OF STATE TO RACE A LOCAL SERIES. ANYBODY IS FAST AT A TRACK THEY RIDE AT EVERY WEEK. THE TRACK OWNERS ARE EITHER GOING TO HAVE TO SPEND SOME MONEY OR GET IT FROM LOCAL SHOPS TO GO INTO THE TRACKS. I WILL PROBABLY RACE THE ARENACROSS IN JACKSON JUST BECAUSE ITS 10 MIN FROM THE HOUSE. IS IT IN THE EQUINE CENTER ? THE WEBSITE SAID ECON CENTER BUT I DONT THINK THERE IS SUCH A THING.SEE U THERE.

Posted by: GILESRACING

I RACE THE TEXAS LONSTAR STATE SERIES. I FINISHED SECOND FOR THE YEAR IN THE PRO CLASS AND SECOND FOR THE YEAR IN THE OPEN CLASS. GO TO SWAN MX.COM AND LOOK UNDER 4 WHEELER PRO AND 4 WHEELER OPEN. MY NAME IS JEREMY GILES #81. YES WE HAVE RACED TOGETHER BEFORE AT ROCKHILL I HAD A RED 250R.

Posted by: GILESRACING

ITS BEEN A WHILE. ME AND KEN PARKER ON A MOTO,JOSH ,YOUAND SOME OTHER GUY RACED THAT NIGHT. I WAS SECOND IN THE FIRST MOTO BEHIND JOSH AND WAS SECOND IN THE 2MOTO WHEN MY SWINGARM BOLT BROKE.PUNCH IN SWANMX.COM THEN CLICK ON BROWSER. THEN CLICK ON RESULTS.

Posted by: GILESRACING

MAN IF WENT TO SWAN TO RACE ONE TIME YOU WOULD NOT GO BACK TO SOUTH TEXAS. LAKE WHITNEY IS THE BEST TRACK IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF TEXAS. OAK GROVE IS 1HOUR AND 45 MIN FROM JACKSON,MS.

Posted by: GILESRACING

HEY MARKVETTE AND MXMIKE. IWAS GOING TO RACE IN JACKSON , I EVEN TOOK OFF FRIDAY NIGHT SO I COULD RACE.THEN I FOUND OUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $10 TO RACE THE SERIES EVEN IF IT IS THE LAST ONE.THEN THEY CANGED THE RACE SCHEDULE FOR PRO CLASS FROM FRIDAY TO SATURDAY.THEN I FOUND OUT IT IS $15 TO GET IN. IF THE RACE FEE IS $30, THATS $55 TO RACE AN ARENA CROSS. HELL I PAT THAT MUCH FOR A NATIONAL. THEN I THOUGHT ,WHO ARE TESE MONEY HUNGRY CANT MAKE UP THEIR MIND PROMOTERS.THEN I FOUND WHO IT IS. THER IS NO WAY IM GOING TO GIVE THE BURRISS'S, IF THATS HOW U SPELL IT, THAT MUCH MONEY TO RACE AN ARENACROSSAND ITS 12 MILES FROM MY HOUSE.THEIR WAS 3 OR 4 QUADS THAT WERE GOING TO RACE IT UNTIL WE FOUND OUT ABOUT ALL THE FEES. THE TURN OUT WILL NOT BE VERY GOOD I PROMISE YOU.ALTHOUGH I WILL BE RACING AN ARENACROSS THE NEXT WEEKEND AT FORREST, MS. IT WILL BE MY SONS FIRST RACE. ITS ONLY 35 MILES EAST OF JACKSON AT THE SCOTT COUNTY COLISEUM. IT IS A SERIES RACE BUT NO SERIES FEE,NO $15 TO GET IN AND I THINK ITS 150% PAYBACK. U GET TO PRACTICE THE TRACK ON FRIDAY THE 21 FROM 4 TO 9PM, RACE ON SAT NIGHT.THIS ONE WILL BE BETTER 2 YRS AGO IT WAS PRETTY MUCH SOLD OUT.

Posted by: GILESRACING

$50 !!!!! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF MONEY HUNGRY CROOKS.THATS MORE THAN WHAT I THOGHT IT WAS GOING TO COST .I CANT BELIEVE YALL ARE RACING THEIR SERIES. WHY CHARGE THAT MUCH. GRAY DANIELS FORD HAS GIVEN THEM MONEY AND FROM WHAT WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE YESTERDAY LELAND AT NORTH JACKSON HONDA GAVE THEM $3000. THER IS NO REASON TO CHARGE THAT MUCH UNLESS UR A CROOK. THIS IS WHY THERE HASNT BEEN A RACE IN JACKSON AND WHY AREA RACERS WONT SUPPORT IT.

Posted by: rupezx

all the tracks up here run the jr minis.practice is 10.00$ .also get the check book ready to race a mini cost$$$$$. i have a 2002 drr90 for a practice bike and a 3000.00$ race 50 just for racing . but it worth it to see the little guy have so much fun.

I AM LOOKING FOR SOME TRACKS IN SOUTH LOUISIANA AND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI TO BRING MY SON TO RACE HIS MINI QUAD! CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TRACKS AND DATES THEY RACE!
THANKS

Posted by: FLAT

we will be at flyingcolors on the 30th they should have plenty of mini quads. the track is narrow and will be tough to pass, so the slow riders are going to have to understand they need to move over, if not it will be slow racing!! every body should have fun though. i think they should run no more than 5 at a time in the up 100cc class! my son will be on his cayman 50 racing in the 100cc hope he is ready!

There are 2 areas around Lafayette, both about 15 miles apart... One is Gravity Alley located on the Breaux Bridge Highway, the other I am not sure of the name, but it is located in New Iberia. Gravity Alley is really kept up and I am sure that if enough of the 'little guys' were to show up that the owner would be more than happy to let them run...

There is also another track located in North Louisiana, Minden and it is always immaculate!! The same goes for here, I am sure that if enough of the little guys were to show up that there would be no problem in having them run.. It is good for the family outlook, and this is what 'mini-racing' is all about.... A family that races together stays together!!

And last but not least, there are 2 more tracks in North Louisiana, one in Oak Grove, (My Lil bro rides his 250R there and loves it there! He is always talking about how sweet that track is, he said it is sooooo easy to FLY around it, I am not sure if it is easy or this is the track that he always gets his first place trophies at (LOL)... This is the first place he ran expert at by the way, so it is a little partiallity there!!
There is a track in West Monroe, but I have not heard anything good about it, but I have never been there either.... Just from what I know about West Monroe, I would not waste my time there because it is the Red Neck Capital of the World!!!!LOL
Just my .02/worth............. Chaio

I am new to this forum, but I am from Gulfport. I see that the topic is based around the 50cc-90cc mini quads, but I along with a few other parents are trying to start a new class at the local tracks. A "junior" quad class is what we are looking at, it will be ages 9-15, & the quads will be like the blaster, the warrior, 300ex. My son is 11 & is riding a 300ex, unfortunatley, the only class he can race in is the "open", which is what he raced in a couple of Sat's ago at Rock Hill. He was a bit outclassed to say the least, but he really enjoyed it. If any of you may know of any kids that might fit into this class, or may have additonal info maybe on tracks that already have this type of class, I would really appreciate it. My email is palmerx03@aol.com or I will check back on this forum. "SEABEES CAN DO" RETIRED CM1

I spoke with a Kenny Bilbo, the promoter for the Hancock Arena motocross on Dec 5-6. He said he would love to open a class for his age group. He said he would do it with just 4 riders. I have 2 right now, if I could just get 2 more kids. He said that by next year he plans on putting on a quad only race. I am sorry, I don't remember, how old is your son on the 400? My mind was kinda going in different directions, it was my son's first race, & he had to race with the Big Boys, but I would really like to thank the riders who made a point to come over & congratulate him on his race, that really made his night. We plan on being there this Sat. night; do you plan on your son's racing, & do you plan on making the one in Dec? You must know Aaron Brown, his son races in the 90cc, he is the one who started with trying to get this class open, I sorta took over the reigns, he has his plate pretty full.

Posted by: Rangerrick63

Hey, lookin at a flyer right now, dec 5 & 6, you can call Kenny at 228-255-8110. He returned my call very quickly, & seems like a very nice guy who loves racing of all types. Do you plan on you son, (or daughter?) racing? It should be a great weekend of racing, & it seems like it is fairly inexpensive, the only cost is the gate fee. Later, Rick
