I have a friend that bought a little scrambler 90 (now a predator 90). That little 2-stroke can really move. He put a D&D pipe on it, and it gained 14 mph on the top end, so your kid can grow into it.
The LT-80 also has alot of performance upgrades.

What quad should I buy my kid, We do 90 percent of our riding in the sand! He is around 60 punds, so I am looking for the 80-100 cc atv's. I was wondering if any of you have the T REX 90, if so how does it do. Well thanks for all of your help!!

Thanks Chad, do you know how it does in the sand, we borrowed a friends LT 80 last weekend and it did really good, I rode a T REX 90 today at a dealer and it felt like it had as much power as a Suzuki LT80. Well thanks again!!

E-Ton Viper 90 has rear disc brake with full floorboard and maxxis tires stock. It hard to beat in the sand or anywhere for that matter. It has high performance parts from several aftermarket companies.

lt80 - reliable and even if you want upgradable and a decent little 2stroke engine.

well this is a discussion that gets on here a lot. i bought a honda 90 then a ds 90 then a Lt80 , i thought the ds 90 was good but the kid likes the Lt. it seems to go good, i don't have to help it on the hills much. i ride the oregon dunes also so i say Lt, plus parts are easy around here.

there is one at the dealer in bend for 1600, but if you look hard you can find them for 1200, and if your really lucky you will see one on the side of the road that is in great shape for 800, but that has only been seen once.

RC I don't recommend the T-Rex. I hgot the 50 cc for my son. It is very hard to get started the first time (auto choke no manuale choke).Runs and starts good after that though. The one I bought does not have kids size brake levers on it which has been a big problem for him, and has even caused an few small crashes. Take a good look at the LT 80 I think thats the way to go.

The eton will sit lower fresh out of the crate then any of the newer style main stream quads. This in part is due to tire selection and frame geometry selection of the manufacturer. It also comes with a horn, kids love this feature, ask for a light kit as it is pre-wired for them. All you have to do is put bulbs in the sockets, put the sockets in the headlight housings, and plug the sockets into the existing wires waiting there. This unit also comes with two rear lights and a red "cyborg" style light up front. It is the easiest to assemble out of the crate which will make it easier to maintain later on down the road. It also starts up very well. With a rear disc brake to boot.
