Hehe,,alot make a big deal about that air cleaner.I did for a while also.fact is that if you get it ready to come out,DO NOT twist, turn, swear simply pull it out the left side virtually in the same position as it's bolted in. Most everyone turns them sideways and have a difficult time resulting in bare knuckles and bad attitude. BR>
Putting a reed in will lessen the chance of the stock metal reed cracking and putting a nice goudge in the cylinder wall (this happens). Reed cage and reed mods produce very little performance gain,if any (w/stock motor)
Removing 2 of the 6 rollers is the only clutch mod that will work effectively (w/stock motor)
Removing the head gasket will bump the compression a lil. Just use a sealer on the head.
Have fun.

Removing 2 of the rollers will make it holeshot a lil better.

i do a lot of the repairs on the quads that i have, so i start to look into the Lt80 and man those things are a little on the tight side to get to things. that air filter is another subject it's self. well probably just wasn't in the mood that day but it kind of made me think i would rather leave it alone. was thinking of the clutch mod and the reed cage. well i'll give it another shot soon.

i have the ds's and everyone says those things are big, and they are but there is a lot of room to work. does that clutch mod make a big difference?
