It just reads 500cc and does not give a year they should all be the same anyway

It is the same. I checked my shop manual for my '98 454.

sweet! thanks a lot on that. I figure after I go through the carb, drain out the fuel tank (water leaking through the weak a$$ gas guage- which will be replaced), replace the battery, and possibly install a new float kit, I might as well adjust the valves. Never has been done and this thing has about 1800 miles on it now.
