Smile 1986 honda 200x

Hello i have a neighbor who has a 1986 honda 200x. I have a yamaha timberwolf that i use on some trails behind where i live but i just wish it were faster. I have been looking on the web for some insight on the atc 3-wheelers and was wondering if i should try to buy a 3-wheeler from my neighbor. Its in decent condition except for rear tires and plastic. I can shift through gears but since its been sitting for so long chain cracks and pops making it hard to push. Any idea how fast this thing could be and how much its worth as is. The guy has had it for about 1 year, he got it for free but knows nothing on how to fix them. I believe all it needs is the carb cleaned to be running. Any answers will be appreciated. Oh by the way i live in east texas in case that has anything to do with prices. thanks

I would do it...3 wheelers are very reliable and safe if you know how to ride. The 86 if im not mistaken had 6 gears. My buddy has an 84 and its pretty faast(never speedoed it tho) After basic maintenance ( clean carb, air filter, oil, oil filter, fresh gas, nwew plug...you could have a nice machine.

hello thanks for reply i really want it but turns out he says he might try to fix it or something like that if i was to try to buy it from him what would be a good starting point money wise. He does'nt know much about em but if i show interest he'll try to make a killing. Any input would be appreciated. thanks in advance

Knowing that is an 86 200X
I would be bugging to get that
The 200X was compeletly redesigned in 86
I managed to get an 86 200X and yea it to needs some work but for all around riding short of a 350X the 86/87 200X is most fun
Not to menton worth good money and can be hard to find since technicaly the last year was 86 but there are some 87s out there
Parts are availlable
I checked with one of our local shops and the correct plastic is still availlable (White)
I will start on mine as soon as I finish nmy 78 ATC90 project I started
Good luck
Ray

I am good with that and happy to pay not an issue I really want to see what my 200 will do with all gears working.
I know to get the gears out you have to split the case.
If you want I would buy whole eng or bottom end or split case.
Let me know how to contact.
possibly send a PM
Thanks

Default whole thing?

i have a 200s 1985 complete bike minus the handel bars and 1 back tire, sitting on a trailer the only thing is that the pull starter has been stripped, the seat pan is thereand the plastics are repaired, and there is no carb. but its all there. id rather just do that whole thing, i dont want to have to take the engine out ect. and you could use the many many spare parts, i do have handle bars, and wheels and tires and oull starters.. if you want to buy a carb at another loc. you could have 2 running, one with out a gear . dude let me know i will be going way for a year or so on nov 27th call these numbers if you want this, today is the 12th, ok ask for bees, 4275831, 3757329, all 702 area codes and asay in regards to 3 wheeler parts. rhey willl come up and get me hurrry.... sorry i dont check my email enough.... hahahha

if you just want to gear ill do it., but i will crack it and pull the gear for you but im 4o and hour and you might do the math, and fugure out that you could get more bang for you buck and just pay a little more in shipping, and this thing was a strong engine. call sasalllllsasapsasapsaaspsappsappspaspapsapspapaspa
