I don't have a wiring diagram.

How many wires on your ignition switch? What are their colors? How many switch positions are there on your ignition switch? 2 or 3? If you have three is it: Off, On, and On with Headlights? Or is it something else?

Now tell me what this "old lock" is... Where did it come from? How many wires? Have you measured it's pins to see what they do? If so, what do the wires do in each switch position. Why are you so confident that this switch will work?

you can replace the ignition switch from an online source for $15. you just gotta find the right one.
i went to a locksmith, took the ignition switch to him and $15 later, i had 2 keys that fit within the hour. that was my fix.
but i'm still curious about your "lock".
