Hi all, I’m having problem with my 2002 Honda recon ES 250, I recently replaced angle sensor and bike shifts and runs great but suddenly when I put it in neutral it would not shift to any gear no sound at all, so I had to shut it off and back on and it works fine, and I noticed it its only gives me that problem when I was riding through 1 ½ feet of snow. But when it nice and dry out side works fine, any ideas.

check plugin on bottom/back of motor it can come unpluged or loose

 

try shaking your atv like rocking it back and forth. I have had the same problem when I flipped my recon, and thats what i did so i hope this helps!!!

 

did you replace the rubber seal on the angle sensor?

 

thanks for reply, i noticed yesterday after 1 hour of riding my recon it was riding fine but after i put it in neutral the rpm goes up and i cant put it in first gear because of high rpm i don't know the reason why rpm goes so high is it because the bike is hot, so basically i have to pull the choke up so rpm goes down a little and than i can put it in gears and rides fine till again when i put it neutral. so something going-on with high rpm when in neutral hopefully i explained right. any ideas will be appreciated.
