Arctic Cat Oil Change
Hey, I'm looking to change the oil in my 2000 Arctic Cat 4X4, but I need some help. What
oil is reccomended? How many quarts should I put in? And where is the oil plug drain? I think I may of found it. If I'm correct it's a bolt in the middle of the skidplate? Also, do they make napa filters for this quad?

should be between 2-3 quarts. Here's a website to get a manual:
"K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts"
yes. I'd tell ya but you forgot to mention what SIZE/MAKE of motor.

Arctic Cat Oil Change
You have the Suzuki Engine and the oil drain bolt is in the location you mentioned at the skid plate , if it has the screw on automotive type oil filter like my 2006 Arctic Cat 400 FIS Auto 4x4 [witch also has a Suzuki 376cc engine] it will hold almost 4 us quarts of oil with the filter change , if you take the filter to Napa they can match one to fit , as for the oil type cupsz71 is right about using wet sump compadible oil when using a synthetic blend ; the only place can find the synthetic where i live here in North Ga is at the AC Dealership where i bought my quad .
I use Castrol GTX Convention oil in my 2006 AC 400 FIS Auto 4x4 without a single issue , 20w50 summer and 10w40 winter and ny Cat still run's good as day one ; it i could find a good synthetic blend that's safe for wet sump engine i would use it !
I hope this help's !

I have a 2003 400FIS and a 2003 TRV both have the Suzuki engine and I use filters I get from my local auto parts store.
Both my machines use the same filter. Wix 85359. I was told as long as the last 3 numbers ..359 are present the filters are the same. Only example I can think of is Fram PH1359. I buy a case ( 12 I think) at a time and pay less then $5 each.
For oil I use Valvoline ATV oil and pay about $10 a gallon. I think its 10w-40 and I run it year around. The oil is "wet clutch" safe. Takes between 3-4 quarts per oil change.
It is also not a good idea to be switching back and forth between synthetic and regular oil. So pick one and stick with it is best.
Also, I you don't know when it was done last change the fluid in your differentials while you are at it. I like the marine grade gear oil and change mine once a year.
