Hello I am new to ATVs and just bought a Jaguar 200cc ATV. I have had it for 1 week and so far I have had no problems I just need info on how to do the maintenance on it. You should change the shipping oil right now. I would use some sort of 10w-40 motor oil, if you like a motorcycle or ATV 10w-40 oil like Castrol will work fine.
Have you read the forms here on what do to do when you get one of these out of the box? Regarding checking all the bolts on the frame, suspension, steering nuts and insuring they are tight?
Also its good to use blue loctite on all bolts going through the fenders and the little bracket bolts if it has them that support the fenders.
The chain if it was oiled when you got should be fine if all you have done is run up and down streets. When you take it off road you should oil it before you head out for a ride. It really depends on the conditions etc.
AS for engine oil doesn't it have a dip stick on the right side? Thats how you check it.

Its running really well I change the spark plug and gave it a oil change the only problem I am having are the back breaks make some noise light the pads need to be ajusted I talk to Rick at MX motors who I bought the ATV from and he told me to bring it in and he will fix it. other then that it is runnig really well. I might be selling it soon so I can get a street legal dirt bike if your interested in buying it I still have all the paper work on it.
