Question 2006 Kawasaki Brute Force 650i idle/backfire problem

My son and I have a 2006 BF 650i. The machine has sat for a few months during football season with a busted CV boot. After installing the new boot, changing the oil and spark plugs the machine will not idle and will only run with the choke (fuel enriching system) on. The carbs backfire intermittenly and the exhaust shoots fire when this happens. I know that the CV boot and services I preformed had nothing to do with this problem, I feel like its a fuel or gummed up carb issue from the lapse in time the maching wasn't run. I have ABSOLUTELY no faith in my dealer so I'm not goin there. Does anybody have any suggestions for cleaning the carbs w/out disassembly. Unfortunately, this machine is having to run the E-10 (ethanol) blended gasoline that is mandatory in GA. Help !!!!!!

Go get a Techron based fuel additive and add it to the fuel tank and fill it up full. Ride the quad until the tank goes empty. Run 2 tanks if improvement is not seen on just one tank. If 2 running tanks don't do it, you have to disassemble the carbs and clean out the pilot jets.

Next time, add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank if you would not be riding the quad for more than 2 weeks or so.

Are the new plugs ok? Might also be a misfire?

Thanks, Got the "Seafoam" and noticed that it is also and additive for the crankcase. The gas tank is about 5 gals. What do you think about using 1/2 the bottle for the crankcase oil and the other 1/2 for a full tank of super-unleaded. After we run a full tank thru the system we would change the oil and filter. Just wanted your thoughts.

And thanks to all that have responded this blog is a real help.
