I've had a few pipes and finaly found the best. I've had a FMF, DG, and PSI, but none compare to the LRD adj. pipe and silencer. The chrome looks incredible and has been holding up well. Sound is sweet but not overly loud. The adj really does work but anyway its adjusted it works better than any other zilla pipe. For $360 from L.I. ATV it is reasonably priced too. They claim a 12 hp increase over stock with this pipe. Does anyone know about how much hp my zilla makes or a stock 500, read my signature, i always wanted to have it dynoed. Mine will obviously outrun a raptor but how close is a stock 660R and a stock LT500R? Thanks

I had a LRD pipe on a previous Zilla that I owned and I flat out loved it too, awesome pipe. I just bought another Zilla week or so ago. Bone stock. I just ordered a Paul Turner pipe and siliencer today as a matter of fact. My LRD pipe cost me like $420.00 or somewhere around there by the time it got to my door and I considered it extremely loud, it made all the neighbors mad. I had a Paul Turner pipe on the other one too and I think it makes more torque than the LRD put all around may not be quite as good on the top, this pipe was 10 years old too so we'll see how good their new one is. I got the pipe and siliencer for $290.00 plus S&H, money IS a bit of an issue right now, that combined with the noise issue prompted me to go with the Turner, maybe I'll wish down the road that I'd gone with the LRD again though, I don't know. Give me a couple weeks and I'll let you know how I like it.

Hey Fast453EX, That $360, is that the pipe and silencer? Also who is L. I. ATV? Do they have a website? Ive heard nothing but good reviews about the LRD pipe and its the one I have chosen. I just need to find someone who ships to Australia! Thanks

L.I. ATV is the best place I have ever ordered from, you will find their ad in dirt wheels, i paid 365 for the chrome expansion chamber, chrome silencer pipe, and aluminum silencer body complete with chrome flange and springs and nice decals, get this, shipping cost me $10 and the pipe was at my door 19 hours after I ordered it, honestly! They are located in Albertson NY and they do an excellant job, most places don't even stock zilla pipes.

Are they a new company? I never heard of them. Let me go get my Dirt Wheels book and find it. I'm right in the middle of the old 'Zilla restoration. Do you think a .100 over piston will last very long? I'm runnig out of cylinder, may have to use my old '87 top'end.

one of my buddys ran a .140 Weisico and ran great on stock sleeve, that is the limit though, when that one gets cooked its resleeve time.

Hey guys I had the opportunity to run an FMF pipe and an LRD pipe back to back on my newly restored 1990 zilla. My engine is bored .060 over, Boyesen reeds, K&N filter w/ outerwear, stock carb, 350 Main Jet, all other settings stock. I chose the FMF pipe over the LRD for all-around performance. The LRD expansion chamber was on the shortest setting and I felt that it had relatively weak bottom end and arm-ripping top end. So I lengthened the chamber as far as it would go and rode it again. I felt little difference. I bolted the FMF back on and felt that it had alot better bottom end and still wound out very well. Both pipes were used and about 1-2years old.
By the way the LRD pipe works really well back on the LT550. BigBore zilla = LRD pipe! "Stock" zilla = FMF! just my opinion...

I'm running the FMF pipe on my 'Zilla. It does have great bottom end and revs out on top really good, too.

Well I just got my Paul Turner system and installed it soon's I got it and headed up to the dunes. I am VERY happy with it. I know that it has a lot more bottom end than the LRD but I really think it has just as much on the top end as well. They call it an all around pipe and they are right.
great all around power through out the entire rpm range.
