I would first of all suggest a 4x4 to you. THe way it sounds you like to fish and this will get you where you need to go. As far as which model to get there are a lot of good ones. My top 3 picks would be
1. Can-Am Outlander 400, or 400 XT (XT package adds front and rear bumpers, winch, hand guards, aluminum tires, awesome all-terrain tires, but if you dont need them you dont need the XT package)
2. Arctic Cat 366 (offers a great package for the money)
3. Yamaha Big Bear 400 IRS
All of these ATVs offer 4WD. The Outlander is the most advanced machine, with an automatic 4WD system and the most power in the 400 class and some of the 500 class.
