i think lynn is saying the brown would supply all accesories... if you jumper to the brown from the red... that would power them up [ as it did] but the problem might be, the red is also needed to power up another wire.. ya know?
i'd say if you " tapped into" the red INSTEAD of cutting it, that would make it run. i'd guess by cutting the red, you lost keyed power to the ignition.
i'd reconnect the red so it goes threw the switch [ like normal] and " tap" into it with the brown, that should make it run and operate accesories. [ this might also drain the battery so ya might want to dissconnect it [ the battery].
