Well at least your math skills have improved in the last month! LOL I believe you missed my point entirely, as well as the posters who you first replied to. I will say this again because you must have missed it in my previous post. If someone does not want or need the extra power it is a waste of money to spend the extra grand on the 700. If you do want or need the extra power then it is not. The poster was not asking for upgrades for a 550, he was stating that it was more than sufficient for his needs. LET ME REPEAT MORE THAN SUFFICIENT FOR HIS NEEDS AND OVER $1000 LESS EXPENSIVE, so your stage 5 whatever and vtwin roll on torque are completely irrelevent as it pertains to this thread. I do agree that anyone who wants power upgrades for a 550 did miss out at the dealership. That being said, there have been a number of industry professionals that have noted the 550 runs very similarly to the 700 at mid to high rpm. Not everyone needs or wants a 700, 750, 800, 850, 950 or ......? Those that find mid displacement quads to be sufficient enjoy using them and do so in a more economical fashion. These individuals are just looking for something a little different than you are, and that's why Yamaha manufactures this ATV.
