Thats your reasonning here is mine.
9 hp does not sound like much but on motors that only makes 37hp vs 46 hp its a 25% power increase. It would be like a 200 hp car gaining 50hp. That is large plus the torque increase as well.
Try to gain 25% in power with $1000 bucks good like with that. Just a pipe and clutch kit will cost that and gain you 5% at most.
A $1400 Aaen stage 5 kit that offers only 20% but gain little torgue because the larger displacement motor will always have more torque then a smaller motor even with more HP.
A 70hp 1200 V twin cruiser still has much more roll on torque then a 120 hp 600 V4 rice rocket has.
I do alot of sledding and compared to that the worst gas mileage ATV made is still super cheap to gas up and ride in comparison,so I would never think of gas mileage as a buying issues.
If some one ever posts "Whats are good and cheap aftermarket power mods for a 550 Grizzly" I would reply "You missed your chance on the showroom floor".
Where Im from the 550 is only $800 less then a 700, Polaris is doing the same with there new 550 as well pricing it to close to a big bore ATV price. The new AC550 is priced better there $1500 less then a Big bore ATV up here.
