It was Polaris that raised the bar this time and Can-Am is now trying to follow suit. Can-Am's PS and Visco upgrades I'm sure will be nice but until they change a few others things, starting with the frame, they'll be hard pressed to be on top. As for hp, the common speculation is that the 850 is just shy of the Outty 800 because Can-Am changed their report to C.A.R.B. from 68 to 71 shortly after Polaris made the claim of 70 hp. As for the weight issue, there's a 120 lb difference between the XP (780) and the non-XT Outty (660), the XT package adds about 80 lbs and you haven't added the mandatory skids or frame mod yet, the weight will be within a few pounds by the time your done. Once you've experienced power steering you won't want to ride one without.
