winch install
Okay, been having loads of fun today - so decided to go work on the quad and installing my warn winch. For the wiring to the battery, the factory supplied stuff, does the positive lead that connects to the contactor sit flush? I noticed with the rubber bushing around it the wire connector wouldn't sit flush with the mating surface of the winch contactor. It did snug down and bend to sit against the contactor. But the ground sucked - it was flush and all, but when I snugged it down the bolt snapped off -- grrrrr...... If any of this sounds confusing as to how the positive connection was sitting I can get a pic to show it better.

It looks like you have a Polaris. The utility ATV’s are pre wired for a winch. You must pull the front rack and bumpers off, along with the plastic around the gas tank. Under the right front fender (or if your looking at it from the front it would be left side) there is a neat little spot to install all the electronics components along with the pre installed positive and negative wires. These are labeled. Hook it up and bolt it down. Saves a lot of head ache. Good Luck.

Rubber bushing - sorry maybe should have used better terminology - I was referring too the two factory tie ins to the winch contactor from the battery.

Here it is with the ground flush to the contactor, but the positive won't sit flush.
