Hello,

Having the right trailer depends on what you are going to do with it. It also depends on where you are going to store the trailer when not in use. If you have plenty of room to store the trailer when not in use then it really doesn't matter how long it is does it? I was given a 4 position snomobile trailer that I am using to tow my 2 Grizzly's. I cut 5' of the trailer off of it and am using it as a side load for the quads. It is still a bit too long and I should have cut it down another 4 feet or so. The way it is, I can haul 3 quads sideways, or 2 end to end. I can tell you that the longer your trailer is the better it will ride, and the easier it is to back up. I have seen the very small trailers that are just big enough for 1 quad and they can be a nightmare to back up because they are so short. If you have the ability and the equipment to do it, it is better and cheaper to build your own. I have the plans drawn up to build my own side load, with built in hinged ramps that I will be able to fabricate with factory made axles and springs for less than $600. It will be 7' wide by 10' long (the deck), with a removable 6' long tongue, and it will have a load capacity of 2500 pounds. I think that custom made is the only way to go for me as I have no place to store the trailer except for a small 1 stall garage, and the trailer I have now makes it very hard to get in and out of the garage, and even more difficult to walk around the trailer while in the garage. If I had a place to store it outside it wouldn't matter. But it is something to think about.</end quote></div>

Storage is a concern as I live in the city and close to the center of the city - meaning I have difficulty finding a parking space for my car. I do rent a gagage for $50.00 a month. I have stuff in there I need to get rid of. I plan on storing it there. I guess that's the price I have to pay to be a city dweller.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time or energy to build my own. I have too many irons in the fire. I bought the quad to force myself to pull away from the world on occaision.
