Default 1994 Suzuki King Quad Front brakes Please HELP!

I have a 1994 King Quad and my two front wheels are locked up from my brakes, how do I get them unstuck? All I did was squeeze the front brake lever and I did feel a little jar in the handle when I pulled it closed but I never thought anything about it til I tried to move the quad in my garage. Now it won`t move at all. the front brakes are stuck locked up.. What do I do? Help me !

Time for a brake rebuild. This is a common problem with the old style KQ's - the drum brakes don't seal very well so moisture can get in and cause everything to rust. The fix could be as easy as taking everything apart, cleaning and derusting and putting it all back together. Obviously, any damaged parts like springs will need to be replaced. You can also replace the seals, but new seals will not keep the brakes dry for long if you typically run in lots of water and mud.

Never, ever, ever park the KQ for long periods with the parking brake on.

I open or remove the bleeder plug on the wheel cylinders. It still takes alot of prying and wiggling on the drum to make it turn loose. You have to be careful to not get to rough and break the drum. The plungers in the wheel cylinders are probably rusted, that is what I have always found. I take the cylinders apart and clean all the rust. I clamp the cylinders in a vice and grab the metal part that contacts the shoes with vicegrips to get the plungers out. I reinstall the parts and have never had a leak so far. Hope this helps.
