Default 2006 Redcat VX-200

So under a week ago bought what I believe is a RedCat VX-200 quad, can't confirm this as the owners manual just says ATV 200 But from my google research it appears my quad is the 2006 Redcat VX-200.
But anyways I decided to try out reverse on it, got it to work for about 2 inches then the quad stalled, I figured I just released the clutch too fast like I sometimes do, so my friend offered to try once, he got it to go back couple of feet then it stalled, but since it was in the spot we wanted it, out of the trail for a second, I left it off, then when we were about to leave I started it up put the level back to forward, I shifted up from neutral into first then tried to go, but alas I just sit there, chain is moving, but I am not. Now we tow it back to my house with another quad and I decided to take off the cover in the back which covers the "reverse lever" (don't know the actual term, also note I'm not talking about the rod pulled to put it into reverse). is very loose, but I cannot confirm if it was like this before as I never had reason to take off the back covering. Now can the "reverse lever" being loose stop it from going? Or anyone else have a different theory?

Also does anyone know where I can buy parts for this model ATV besides the store at Redcat's main site, they're sold out of almost everything and never seem to restock, besides eBay, refuse to use eBay.

Hmmmm, if your chain was spinning and the ATV was not moving that would be the back sprocket that is broke. Unless it has a Reveres box mounted to the rear axle which I can't imagine being a 200 Manual shift! Can you post some pics of the ATV and the engine and rear axle for us?

http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/2100/1000900iq9.jpg <-- This is what I've been referring to as the "reverse lever", you can tell by the cable it is very loose and doesn't appear to be where it should be, When reverse is put in, the cable gets a bit tighter, but when put back into forward, doesn't go back where i suspect it should go.

But now also while taking the picture of the "reverse lever" I noticed something on each side on the axle, it appears there are bolts missing.
http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/6107/1000901ko8.jpg <-- that's from the left side, now if you look closely where that one piece SHOULD be is very clean compared to rest of that area, which leads me to believe it was bolted there at one point and the bolt snapped off.

The right side didn't exactly come out great, was very blurry so I won't post it, but its exactly the same way.

But discovering the possible missing bolts theory, it seems like it could also be that because when we did get the quad into reverse the back tires would bounce off the ground like crazy at first. If you need more pictures tell me of what and I can try my best to get to it.

Yep, I was right, it does have the Reveres block on the rear axle. I have never seen a manual transmission have that. MWQ who posted earlier has a atv that has that block and I'm sure can answer your question better. But it looks like you sheared the bolts off. My guess is if you start the atv and put it in forward gear that whole housing thing is spinning. Or perhaps it's all just bad inside that black box! I would think that cable should be tight and not lose as it is in the picture. But the broken bolts might have done that!

From Google there seems to be a tie in with Kazuma. There are people selling Redcats though so it is worth trying them, just stick Redcat vx-200 in Google and see what pops up. The engine will probably be a Honda clone anyway so the starter for that model Honda engine would probably fit.
