lose belt
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: chucks4x4
Ok so I changed my belt one more time this time with the same part # belt that was on there before and it is still doing the same thing. I dont think it is to lose but I could be wrong. This is driving me nuts. I want to go riding but I want to fix my bike before I go.</end quote></div>
Too much information here!
Take your clutch cover off, if you have EBS the belt should be tight, if not EBS you should have some slack. If that looks ok, in park rev your engine and look at the clutches, the primary should sqeeze the belt and the belt and secondary should start moving. The faster you rev the engine the belt will move up the primary and the belt will ride down into the secondary. Slowly rev the engine and you will see the belt ride to the top of the primary and to the bottom of the secondary. Let off the throttle and the belt and clutches will go back to idle position. If not something is broke or stuck.
