Kazuma Falcon 90 Deluxe - no spark!!
Hi everyone,
My son had his 90 for about a week and it ran fine. All of a sudden, one day it just stopped while he was riding. I found by pulling the plug and laying it against the engine that it was getting no spark. After talking to John at Raceway, he decided to send me a new coil and cdi box. I got them yesterday in the mail and tried them out. No luck!!! Any other ideas and what should I be looking for?
Thanks!!

Couple of questions -
Do you have a Falcon 90 and did you have problems with the wire harnesses? Also, I'm assuming that the tether cord you are talking about is to a kill switch. I did play with this to see if it was the problem with no effect. Where exactly is the plug you are speaking of?
Thanks

I don't have a Kazuma 90. I have a Coolster, but these problems are consistent across most of the Chinese brands. The wiring harnesses are crappy. My sons Coolster had an intermittant spark problem (quad would just shut off randomly while riding) that turned out to be a bad harness connector. One of the pins had partially pushed out of the connector.
Yeah, some of the kids quads have tether cords attached to a kill switch on the back of the quad so that the parents can pull the cord and kill the engine when the rider gets into trouble. I have seen many posts for no spark where this turned out to be the problem. My sons quad came with a key-fob kill switch where you can just press the button to turn off the quad.

I checked all of the wire harnesses and found no obvious problems. I removed the kill switch on the side of the quad and reconennected the wires to finish the circuit. No spark.
The kill switch in the rear doesn't look like there's a problem. I don't know what to check now?!? Any other advice?
