Default Where to ride in Louisiana and Mississippi?

I ride a little around Hammond, La. Cherokee Beach, pipe lines in Tickfaw and Independence, but am looking for more. There are 5 of us wanting to bring families to larger places and camp along with getting the wives involved. Where are there some places to ride, trails with some mud and hills. Just good all around riding and fun for family.

Any web sites with this information would be great.

Go to atv pathfinder.com. they list some spots like kisachie national forest, la dunes (lots of huge sand dunes with camping/rv hookups, can go to ladunes.com to check it out) these are the ones I've been to. I did check out the pics at the sicily island spot near alexandria called catahoula recreation. it looked like a good place.

correction big guy. it's thedunesinc.com not ladunes.com. You can also search catahoularecreation for the sicily island spot.

Thanks for the info, I guess there aren't many of the riders in Ms. that want to share their locations. Can't seem to find out much on trails that are open. Even tried calling the local dealers and asking but they said there aren't many places to ride that are open since Katrina. Guess there is lots of damage and no manpower to clean it up and reopen the trails.
Thanks again

Can't remember the name but there's a big camp ground in Folsom that has trails I think it's like $20.00 a day to ride, and I heard of a place in Maganolia just north of Tickfaw by the Miss. line

I went this weekend to Red Creek Offroad in Perkinston, Ms. which is about 25min. north of Biloxi. It is well over 1K acres of trails and MUD. There is much to do, from deep mudding/submarineing, to sand pits, to hill climbing, to woodsy trails. I put my new 420 Rancher 4X4 to the test, and my wifes new Recon proved capable beyond expectations. We rented a cabin (14 people and 10 bikes) and had a great time. $25 per bike weekend rate was a bargin for the fun we had. A GPS should help you not get lost if you have never been there, as the trails criss-cross and go every different way imaginable.
