1987 TRX250R Jetting Question
Hello Everybody:
I am new to making repairs to Hondas, I need your help on trying to find a starting point for my jetting. I'm getting my 250R bored out alittle, my old piston and rings took a turn for the worst. Doing this project before going to Glamis.
The only place I go riding is at Glamis (Imperial Sand Dunes) and the following is what I have on my bike.
FmF SST gold series exhaust
stock carb
will have a new piston at 67.5
boyseen power reeds
If I need to post more information please let me know. PLease help me on a starting point for my jetting.

I dont know what size to start at but I always like to start with a jet that is likely to big then go down on jet size. You dont want to lean it out with to small of a jet.If all you have done is bored it out and put in new piston in it then I wouldnt go up on jetting to much.If you have rebuilt it,put your pipe on and put your reeds in then yeah I would go up several sizes.I guess what I am saying is that just boring it isnt going to change it much.Wish I could give you some numbers.
