How to drain coolant in 01 Prairie 650
It is time to change the coolant in my 2001 Prairie 650 but I can't figure out how to drain the old coolant out. The manuel says to have a dealer do it, but it is expensive. Should I pay to have it done or is it fairly simple? Any help is greatlly appreciated.

Take the black plastic off by the resovoir. At the bottom of the engine take out drain plug. Remove resovoir and drain antifreeze. It helps to use distilled water when you replace antifreeze. Run engine for 5 or 10 minutes and recheck level of coolant.

Take off the plastic resovoir, which has the water pump behind it. After locating toe water pump, there is a drain bolt with what should be either a #3 Phillips head and/or size 10 bolt. Either way, un-screw it and watch the coolant drain. After that, put the drain bolt back in, put on the resovoir, add coolant to the resovoir and radiator and let the machine run with the radiator cap OFF. This is to allow air bubbles in the system to rise and disperse. After thats done and overwith, top up the coolant to be inbetween the High and Low mark on the resovoir, attach the radiatir cap and youre good to go.
