Gas tank come off easy. U can toss some soapy water around in it but make sure you let it dry for a few days with a fan blowing into it. As for the carbs i would take them off and spray some carb and choke cleaner in all the holes. Unless you wanna take the carb all the way apart. Its not worth it though if you ask me.

#1 DO NOT put water in your tank.....rinse it out with fresh fuel

#2 It is well worth the time to take the carb apart. usually all you need to do is take the bowl off

Why put water in a tank when your goal is to Avoid rust at all costs!
If something is cloging the jet and all you do is spray carb cleaner in it, you may remove the clog, but whatever it was is still in the float bowl.

Let's think about this.

We all know gas and water don't mix. And soap will normally leave some residue behind.

Always use fresh fuel.

As for the carbs. If you are just wanting to clean them out then spray carb cleaner in the jets and other
openings. This includes taken off the bowl. It is easy and don't let it imtimidate you. Don't adjust any
of the mixture screws, needle/clip settings, or jets if everything is running ok.

I just did this last night to clear up a sputtering issue I had on my Kodiak. Took about an hour to strip off
all the plastic and get it buttoned up again. Now she runs like new again.

One of the easiest and cheapest things you can do is put an inline fuel filter between the tank and carb. I had to do that on a 75 Honda motorcycle because of light rust problems.

Did anyone do it on the raptor if so tell me if it is easy or not because I think my entake and the card need to be claned becaus e it is back fireing. It bogs out time to time. It also seem that it over heating and it really not going as fast as it useually goes.

Might be trash from the bottom of the card you think because I did have it running on the last drop befre cameing beack from a far distance.
