I know that the kodiak has more cc`s and other stuff but wanted to know who would win in a drag race ? the bruin is light ?

 

I'm sure the kodiak would win. The bruin isn't fast.

 

My wife has a 2005 Bruin 350 4x4 & I have a 2005 Kodiak 400 4x4. Mine is quicker out of the hole but she can keep right up with me. I have topped them both out around 47mph.

On a side note.
She can take her's anywhere I have taken mine.

 

Just wondering how much abuse your bruin has been through now and hows it holding up ?

 

My bruin has been rolled, flipped, gone through water up to the headlights. I beat on the suspension really bad when I came upon some whoops in the middle of the woods that I wasnt expecting. No problems so far except a bent rack and gas tank plastic from flipping it. And I nailed a rock going WOT and that just dented the yamaha aluminum skid plate, suprsided I didnt bend the frame how fast I was going. Overall seems to be holding up good. Looking at it its hard to believe its an 06 though. I have not been nice to it.

 

Bruin(348cc) vs which Kodiak?? the 400(401cc) or the 450 (421cc)?? The Bruin 350 weighs 536lb the 400 is 578lb and the 450 or should I say 421 Kodiak is 591lb.

The two Kodiaks have a little more cc but they do haul more weight around also.

PS. I think 421cc is kinda far of the mark to be called a 450 if you ask me.

 

The kodiak 400 i thin the bruin would be neck and neck and yeah 421cc is far from 450cc on a atv. Honda has a new rancher fourtrax with a 421cc efi motor and the price is only couple hunderd diffrent then last yeasrs modle thats not a bad entree level atv price and efi honda is on the right track.

 

I HAVE a bruin 350 2wd and i have ridden a kodiak 400 i didnt feel that much diff between them and as for the uuh 421 or is that 450 lol THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES IT ANY BETTER IS THE FACT IT HAS A LOW GEAR which is great but id be pretty sure the 450 would beat it all around.But the 400 not much more there still a 2 valve motor with more metal to push which kills the extra power and still only has on foward gear...

 

I have put mine through about everything, and it has been running great. The only problem I have had with mine was getting a piece of dirt in the carb, but I think it has worked its way out now. I would reccomend one to anyone looking for an ATV in its class.

 

My dad's Kodiak 450 easily beats his buddy's Bruin, however his buddy does have about 40 pounds on him.
