Default Honda 200m spark plug problems...

My problem is that about every 3-4 starts my spark plug fouls out and i have to clean it also somtimes the 200m stalls because of this but starts fine. i have had the carb cleaned out about 4 or 5 months ago. i was wondering if there was anything i could do to stop having to do this so often?

well fouling plugs is either too much gas or its burning some oil so check that if you still have the problem and post some pictures of your 200m i would like to see it

I have the same problem, but not to the same degree. I have discovered that my bike doesnt like short trips and will foul plugs quickly if used that way.
My bike has a new piston and rings and dousnt burn a drop of oil and the carb is set up exactly as prescribed in the service manual the needle and seat are in good shape too. I always carry at least 2 spare plugs as I have not been able to "revive" one single plug after it has fouled.

The carb setting in the service manual is how they come from the factory. It is set up for average conditions. It still could be way too rich.

What do the spark plugs look like when you take them out???

If they are white in color your running too lean.

If they are black with carbon all over them they are running too rich.

I would put my money that if you set the carb to stock setting your running to rich.

When riding the bike at higher speeds and for longer duration, the plug wont foul and is brown in colour as it should be. When the bike goes on short trips and idles a lot the plug will foul and is black in colour, obvoiusly running too rich.
Based upon these clues, I have concluded that the main jet is set up properly but the low speed is not.
According to the manual, you turn the low speed jet in untill the motor stumbles, then slowly continue till it stalls, then turn it back 1 full turn. I have tried turning it back in (from the 1 turn out after stall position) but then I end up with a hard starting scenario.
