Default Sportsman 600/700 Camshaft test results.

We have been working ona couple of new cam designs for the 600/700 sportsmans and have come up with somthing that is working very well. Our test quad was a 05' sportsman 700 with our silencer, k&n, clutch kit, and 800 primary. In stk form with 27" tires it took over 10 seconds to reach 50 mph on a gravel drive way. With our new cam installed, rejetted, with 27" tires we are over 3 mph faster is 8 seconds. Listed bellow are speeds and times.

05' 700 clutch kit, k&n, silencer, 800 pirmary,and 27" tires.

05' 700 cluthc kit, k&n, silencer, 800 primary, 27" tires, NEW HSP CAM, HSP PORTING,rejetted, and timing key.

2 sec. 23.82mph 25.30mph
4 sec. 35.43mph 37.47mph
6 sec. 41.38mph 44.21mph
8 sec. 45.53mph 49.22mph

Our new cam is designed for consumer use it's not a race cam or anything like that, you do not have to run race gas either this is a bolt on part it comes with instructions, and all neccesary gaskets and springs if needed. If you have any ?'s about this please us know you can post on here or e-mail me @ tech@hotseatperformance.com. With cluthcing changes we could probably see even better gains but this set-up is pretty std. We aslo added our ex. to this machine and picked up another 1/2mph all the way through the run too.

Any word on the same type of kit for the 800 cam? How about some numbers? The last time we spoke about this, you stated that you were still working on it. That was over a month ago, having any luck?

I did talk to you about them on the phone and in your forum under "Is there a completion date yet?" and you told me that the cams were ready to ship but that you were still field testing them. That's a little ambiguous. They're done and truly ready or they are not. I asked about the complete kit like you are offering in this thread for the 600/700 and you said that you were working on it. You also stated that you would post some speed/time performance numbers as well. If you posted them, I may not be looking in the right place or just missed that thread. Before replying again, I was going to check your website again and for some reason I can't get past the home page so please forgive me if i am asking something that could be answered there. Any chance that you could repost them either here or in a new thread in your forum? Some of us may be interested in seeing what ya' got. Thanks.

sounds interesting...
How much does the porting help?
How much over can the cylinder be bored? (I know the 800 stroke is longer)

We can't do anything with the bores on the 6/7/800's. Those times above are with porting done. We arn't really aggressive with the porting it's pretty mild. Jimmy didn't you used to have a web cam in your 700?
