04-05 Yamaha Raptor 50
I'm new to this forum but have very interestingly followed the discussion. I have purchased a Raptor 50 (my state law doesn't allow anyone under the age of 12 to ride anything larger than a 50) and have recently started adding some of the mods that have been discussed here. I have noticed a good increase in power but not so much speed (because of the gearing). I know that larger diameter tires would help a little with the speed but I have recently started looking into possibly changing the trans/clutch to the 80. the cost seems to be high though. has anyone tried this change. I'd be interested in knowing how it has worked out and what specific components are needed.
