quad and when i went to
last week i took out my quad and when i accelerated hard in 3rd gear it bogged out. It kept doing it so i looked in the air box and the outerwaer cover was covered with crap from the last time i washed it.{mud went under the seat}. I removed the outerwear cover and it ran like a champ. then like 20 min. later it bogged out like in 2nd gear, it continued to do that every once and awhile and got harder and harder to start untill i ened upo getting towed to the truck. When i got home i started it and ran a bottle of carb cleaner through it and it ran fine, but i only rode it for a few min. and dont think i fully fixed the problem, if at all. any ideas what it can be, spark plug....carb....or just a dirty filter? any info would be great, Thanks.
one more thing, it sat since novenber then i took it out once this month with no porblem and then the next week i had the problem, could it be moisture or bad gas?

start with the basics AIR, FUEL AND SPARK if that doesn't help look at your wireing connections , have heard about some corosion in the connectors , I took mine apart and filled them with dielectric grease ,makes them water proof and always check all grounds ..

Check the breather tube going to gas cap. It happened to me, the bike would start, run for awhile and bog, eventually stall. Or you may have to pull the carb and give it a good cleaning.
