Other KQ owners have posted here that the belt is supposed to go about 1,200 miles.

Though I can't say for sure, I'm willing to bet the original estimation is bs. I've got close to 200 on mine now and nothing that would indicate a worn belt.

Default King Quad Belt

Hey guys,

I have an 05' KQ with 729 miles on it. So far I have had to replace the 4x4 switch,(waranty), tie-rod ends,(Waranty),and throttle cable seal,(waranty). Two months out of waranty the right rear axle seal was leaking,(never been in mud). Dealer would not cover it,after spending $2500 more than I had to to stay local with my purchases. I have purchased 3 ATV's from this dealer in the last three years. For a $13 seal, he lost alot of business. I am now faced with a belt gone bad. 729 miles on it and was riding on a hard packed ATV trail system when the belt just started to slip. Had to be towed back. So I guess I can say my belt didn't even last 750 miles.

I replaced mine with a new belt at about 800 miles....it was slipping. I went with a carslile belt. $45.00 bucks. No big deal to replace. You csan also expect to replace the rear upper "I" arm bushings at around 1000 miles also... If you ride hard and in mud. You will notice side to side play in the rear tires.
Hope this helps ya.

Default King Quad Belt

Hi guy's
Just picked up a new Carlisle belt. Upon pulling everything apart, i found the belt to be in decent condition,(still one piece), but my clutch is totally gone. All the bushings and rollers are melted down to nothing. 739 miles on bike with stock sized tires on it yet. My Dealer is going to try and get something done with Suzuki to cover this issue. This bike has never seen any mud as of yet. Every time I ride it it seems I have troubles. I wont be keeping this bike very long. Any people out there have any suggestions on what bike I should get?

All you need is a dalton clutch kit or a epi kit in that thing and you will be happy. It makes the King pull like it should.. Problem solved.

You should of asked sooner. I just sold an extra kit. You can get them at your local dealer.. I went with a Dalton kit. It comes with The main spring and lighter weights for about 109.00 . The EPI kit will also come with these and the internall springs but cost about 120 dollars more.
I purchased mine ----here-----click me

You will need a Spring compressor tool to do the job yourself. Click here to read up on it
