Default Eton Carb Problems??

My sons Eton Viper 90 was getting hard to start sometimes... I replaced plug, air filter checked all the normal things I knew of finally took it to the dealer. He found the ignition swtich to be the problem he ordered me a new one and after I installed it it starts right up, it idles fine and seems to run fine but now it runs slower... It DOES NOT spit and spotter it just has no top end now... I have played with the CDI box and that does seem to be operating correctly, a friend told me it could be the be the carb (top end or high end jet or port I think is term he used) I have never tinkered with the inside of a carb and I am wondering should I just take it back to the dealer..

other than these two issues that bike is tough as nails..
thanks for any help

What irritates me is!
Those 6-packs work pretty good.

Assuming it has one, clean your spark arrestor and see if that helps.

You should clean your carb, they need it once in a while. If you take it in try to watch them so you can do it your self next time, or find a freind to show you. I bet you find some trash in it.

Default Eton Carb Problems??

Thanks I am going to tackle it tomorrow... My son and one of his friends were riding today and clipped a tree. Broke the front right fender. I always try to keep it clean but I decided to give it a deep cleaning. So now I have pulled the air and cvt filters to clean and in the process found mud caked around the head. I thought the plastic cowling would keep the mud out be it appears to keep some packed up in there as well. So am getting my nerve up to clean the carb in the morning I figure I shouldn't be able to screw anything up the dealer can't fix.... Wish me luck

Thanks!!! Took the spark arrestor out it was plugged completly up. Seems to rev higher now and run smoother at the higher RPM's. Can the little bike run without this or will it foul something up??? If not I will probable just buy a spare and swap them out.

Thanks again
