Bayou 220 wont idle well
It has a new plug, I cleaned the airfilter, took the carb apart and sprayed carb cleaner on everything, It runs fine just don't idle for crap, I turn the idle up a bit, and that don't help either, it will still die after a min. or 2..the hoses on the carb seem a little old, the vacuum ? hose has no clamp, if this is leaking, will this cause it to idle rough?

idle mixture screw should be 2 turns out id check that too. also, when you took the carb apart did you literally just spray carb cleaner on the inside? to do a good cleaning you have to remove jets and the needle and make sure you get all them little orfices real clean. make sure to spray out the passage that leads from the fuel line to the bowl.

I took all jets out, sprayed it good...I did not see the idle mixture screw, just the idle adjustment screw. I will have to look at it again, it is a friends bike, he brought it over, when I didn't really have time to work on it.

OK I did a little research and found out the 220 has a Mikuni VM24SS , so I go to the mikuni website, I look at the carb it shows the air mixture screw, I am thinking I am good to go, I go over to the guys house, and his carb has no air mixture screw is this something that is pre set on the 220?
